LA FOND (the signature name) received an undergraduate BFA degree in studio arts with a double minor in theology and philosophy from Manhattanville at Purchase, New York (formely Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart) in 1960. During undergraduate years, the artist studied sculpture with Clara Fasano and Jean De Marco.
In New York City, the artist took post graduate studies in painting and sculpture with Eric Isenburger and Adolph Block at the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts from 1960 through 1962. The artist studied marble carving in Pietra Santa, Italy and now resides in Jacksonville, Florida with family.

Other artistic experiences include New York City theater set design, specialized area design for retail stores and Art Director for a New York City financial public relations firm.
La Fond is a member of the Jacksonvilie Coalition for the Visual Arts, the National and International Sculpture Societies.
